Like how ironic would it be if Dean and Cas really did become canon and then in s9 the writers just broke them the hell up.

Yeah, this line bothered the crap out of me when I first read it.
This is maybe one example of why I don’t talk about The Hunger Games.

If you repost this, it’s been requested that you title it “I’m afraid of _ out of 69 common fears”
If you get more than 30, I strongly recommend some counseling.
If you get more than 20, you’re paranoid.
If you get 10-20, you are normal.
If you get 10 or less, you’re fearless
So I’m paranoid. I knew this already.
So, I was thinking about BBC Sherlock fandom’s hate-on for Sally Donovan, and just earlier today I was talking with Maria about Tara Thorton’s shitty treatment in True Blood.
And then I made myself a list.
You’re not fooling anyone, fandom. I know what’s up.
They want these women to be invisible and get upset when they’re not. Then they’re bitches, sexless (i.e. no chemistry with ANYONE), or sluts. And it’s not like the show writers don’t have the same problem, those tropes are a consistent fallback when it comes to any major characterization of black female characters. But when they step out of those tropes (Bonnie becoming more assertive, not just a support system for the white female lead; Martha wanting the Doctor to see her in a romantic way, not just as a support system for the white lead; Gwen being the LOVE object of several male characters, not just a support system for the white lead) fandom goes apeshit cause their worldview is being messed with. These women are not supposed to be important, loved, complicated in their minds, just easily forgotten once the episode is over.
I havent noticed this before but, can I say that I didnt know the fandom disliked Tara this season? Tara in this last season was one of the FEW things I liked; and this is comming from someone who couldnt stand her the first three seasons. I think Tara in the 4th season finally grow a back bone and started to stand up to all the bullshit that Bon Temps threw at her. She wasnt just sitting and whinning to any one who decided to listen, she was actually DOING something to solve her crazy life troubles; she was over her childish infatuation to Jason, she was in a sort of stable relationship AND SHE STOOD UP TO PAM FOR GODSAKE!
In regard of Cassie, despite that I dont ship her with Dean (Dean and Cas share a more profound bond so it could never work) I think she has mad chemistry with Dean and her character felt like a kind of woman who could put up with Dean’s bouts of low self-esteem and no chick-flick moments policy. I could see it happening even more than Lisa/Dean, anyways so I would love to see her character developed on the show.
Donovan only receives hate because she has always been against Sherlock doing HER work (quite rightly so), so shes the first one to doubt him and the one that help in the donwfall of Sherlock. But all in all I cant see what this has to do with her race?
One that does bother me is Mercedez, she has great voice, but she doesnt get solos; AND even Mike and Tina have had an episode dedicated to explain subplot involving them and she hasnt? Why? I havent seen this past season (because it was terrible, I know it, I see it on Tumblr), but I would have liked to see where it would go with her and that guy that asked her out that was on the football team. Or something, ANYTHING. Really.
